AT&T; Merges International and Domestic Groups: American Telephone & Telegraph announced a major management shake-up that will for the first time merge domestic and international communications services into a single organization that will operate on a global scale. The change is designed to serve customers who are no longer either international or domestic, but frequently both, the company said. The shake-up will affect tens of thousands of employees in two of AT&T;’s largest groups and will be carried out over a period of months.
