Future of the Democrats

I finally got the answer to the question that has been bugging me: Who is pushing so hard for term-limitation initiatives and why? The answer came in the form of a questionnaire from the Republican National Committee. The Republicans haven’t been able to defeat the Democrats legitimately at the polls with their reputation as the party of the wealthy fat cats and the memory of the repudiated Richard Nixon.

So they go after the “incumbents” as being the problem! The Democrats don’t have the money to open new campaign budgets every two terms, but the Republicans can always buy a new pretty boy (Dan Quayle?) and buy a seat for him. George Bush, who has been around as long as dirt, would like to kick Democrats out.

So I’m not sending a contribution to the party of Nixon, Joe McCarthy, Reagan and Bush. I’ll send my contribution to the Democratic National Committee and hope we will uncover this sneaky end run for what it is: another one of Tricky Dick’s dirty tricks.
