Realty Office Absorbed: Laguna Niguel Realty will be folded into Prudential California Realty on Tuesday. Prudential California will close its Laguna Niguel office and move its agents into the two offices of the former Laguna Niguel Realty. Founded in 1963, the residential realty firm has sold “well over 5,000 homes” in its history, Laguna Niguel Realty President Bob Margolis said. For years it was the only realty company in Laguna Niguel until competitors started setting up shop in the 1970s. Laguna Niguel Realty was the original home-selling arm of the Laguna Niguel Co. and then AVCO, the developers of the area. AVCO sold the firm to private investors in 1983. About 30 of Laguna Niguel Realty’s 45 agents are expected to stay on with Prudential California, Margolis said, making for a combined sales force of about 70 agents.
