Litton Industries Inc.’s Guidance & Control Systems division in Woodland Hills said it has received two orders worth more than $30 million.
Litton said the U.S. Navy awarded $20.1 million in new funding to an existing contract for the production of navigation systems for combat ships. The company has delivered 226 of the navigation systems thus far to the Navy under the contract; the new order would provide for another 30 of the systems to be delivered to Japan under the Defense Department’s foreign military sales program.
In connection with another contract awarded under the foreign military sales program, Litton said it was selected by the Royal Netherlands Air Force to provide 190 navigation units for the Netherlands’ fleet of F-16 tactical aircraft.
A Litton spokesman said that contract is worth “well in excess of $10 million,” but he would not disclose the exact value.
