Francesca Gregoli, who had small parts in several films and television shows, has died at a Burbank hospital. She was 57.

A longtime Studio City resident, she died Friday of a stroke, said her son, David Gregoli of Valley Village.

Born in Los Angeles, she studied dance and acting after her graduation from Fairfax High School. After her husband died in 1960, she began her professional acting career, using her maiden name, Gregoli, and also the name Frances Stevenson. She appeared in “Five Weeks in a Balloon” (1962), “The Magnificent Seven Ride!” (1972) and “Breezy” (1973), among other films. Ms. Gregoli, who often portrayed nurses, acted in television’s “Dr. Kildare,” “Marcus Welby, M.D.” and “The Name of the Game.” From the mid-1980s until the present, she ran her own personal management company for actors.

She was active with Thalians and Actors and Others for Animals, and had volunteered at the blood bank at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

In addition to her son, she is survived by her daughter, Jolene Rae of Studio City, and sister, Vicki Mason of Bel-Air.

At her request, no funeral is planned and her ashes will be scattered at sea. San Fernando Mortuary in San Fernando is handling the arrangements. Donations can be made in her name to the Lupus Foundation of America or the Tree People.
