Resignation at AST: AST Research Inc. said Friday that John C. Olson, vice president of manufacturing at the Irvine company, has resigned for personal reasons. Olson, who joined the company in 1987 and directed the company’s manufacturing of personal computers in the United States, could not be reached for comment. The company is searching for a successor.
