Republicans and David Duke
As a supporter of David Duke since he was first elected to public office back in 1989, I wish to thank you and the other panderers of yellow journalism for your continued attacks upon him. Even Conrad and his slimy, but oh-so-typical cartoon (Oct. 29) which showed Duke as the Frankenstein monster with a burning cross in the background. Why am I thanking you when it is quite clear that you are doing your utmost to discredit him?
Because all you are doing with these scurrilous and hate-filled attacks is making Duke even more popular than he already is. So please, keep it up!
And don’t stop after he wins the special runoff election Nov. 16. He needs all the publicity he can get for his run for the presidency in 1996.
