Telecommunications Act

Share

We have been urging our legislators for years to break up the cable TV service company’s closed industry and allow competition. The phone companies are capable of providing cable service and are sensitive and responsive to criticism.

The present cable company, a rigid monopoly, does not respond to poor reception, poor service criticism and continues to raise prices.

Obviously competition is due here, and The Times, as a public service newspaper, should support the effort.
