COUNTYWIDE : Card Sale to Raise Funds for Agency

Share

Interface: Children, Family Services of Ventura County is selling holiday cards again this year to help fund its services for abused children, battered women and families in crisis.

It is the major fund-raising event of the year for the county agency, which assisted more than 22,000 people last year.

Some cards feature original artwork by children helped by Interface: the “Santa Express” loaded with toys, a snowman with festive holly and red berries and a Christmas tree decorated with colorful balls. Inside is the handwritten message “Happy Holidays.”

Artwork featured on other cards, some of which are blank inside, were donated by area artists such as Kathy McCall, Susan Petty and Mary Michel.

A dozen of the cards are displayed in an Interface color brochure, and many others can be purchased at the Camarillo, Thousand Oaks or Oxnard Interface offices.

Prices range from $8 to $10, and all purchases are tax-deductible. Now, 23% of Interface’s budget comes from business and community support.
