GLENDALE : RETAIL PLAN TO BE STUDIED
A strategy and marketing plan to boost sales for small merchants along Brand Boulevard will be the topic of a daylong study session Saturday by the Glendale City Council, which serves as the Redevelopment Agency.
City officials said they are concerned that the volume of retail sales along Brand has dropped, despite increases at the Glendale Galleria. Several proposals will be considered to attract new retailers, including tax incentives and other assistance for restoration and remodeling.
The study session will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the city manager’s conference room at City Hall, 613 E. Broadway.
