S.F. Examiner Editor to Leave: Larry Kramer, 41, will step down as executive editor of the San Francisco Examiner on Dec. 1, the newspaper said. Speculation about Kramer’s departure has been circulating for more than a year. William R. Hearst III, editor and publisher, said the paper will continue under Phil Bronstein, managing editor for news, and Pamela Brunger Scott, managing editor for operations, while Kramer’s replacement is being sought.
