Milton H. Farber; President of Cookware Company

Milton H. Farber, 81, retired president of the company that makes Farberware cookware. His father founded the family business, S.W. Farber Inc., in 1897, and Milton Farber joined the company when he was a teen-ager. The company originally manufactured racks and gift trays, and became successful by marketing a clamp-on light used by the founder to work in bed while his wife slept. In the 1940s, the son moved the company into a new line of stainless steel pots and pans with aluminum bottoms that became known as Farberware. On Tuesday in Atlantis, Fla., of heart failure.
