Marshall E. Dimock; Held Labor Post
Marshall E. Dimock, 88, assistant secretary of labor under President Franklin D. Roosevelt. A native of San Bernardino, Dimock became an expert on public administration and taught at several universities, including UC Berkeley and the University of Chicago. He also wrote 47 books, including “Public Administration.” In addition to the labor post, Dimock served in the Justice Department and the War Shipping Administration. He also served two years in the Vermont Legislature. On Thursday in Bethel, Vt.
