Survey Finds Sex Harassment Widespread: Fifty-two percent of the member companies of the American Management Assn. have dealt with allegations of sexual harassment in the past five years, and nearly 60% of the cases have resulted in disciplinary action against the offender, according to a November AMA survey. While 17% of the harassment claims were dismissed without action, 14% resulted in the dismissal of the offender, the survey found. Other action included a formal reprimand (27%), probation or suspension (14%), or a transfer of the offender to a new position (6%).
