Glendale : Scouts Get Food for Needy

More than 10 tons of canned food was collected for the needy last weekend by Boy Scouts from the Verdugo Hills Council, officials of the Salvation Army said.

An estimated 2,000 youths participated in the 1991 Scouting for Food drive.

Canned goods were taken to participating fire stations, where they were sorted and distributed to food banks in the area and the Salvation Army.
