Two L.A. Agencies to Merge: Two Los Angeles ad agencies, Poindexter/Osaki/Nissman and Batey & Chan, say they will merge under the name Batey/Poindexter. Financial arrangements were not disclosed, but the two agencies will post combined annual billings of $15 million. Clients of the new agency include Singapore Airlines and Princess Cruises Resorts & Hotels. Batey’s current president, Anthony G. Preece, will become chief executive of the new agency. Poindexter’s chief executive, Larry Poindexter, will become president of the new agency.
