Justice officials Thursday ordered the arrest of five Mexican railway crew members said to have abandoned their freight train, leaving it to jump the tracks and carve a path of destruction that killed at least 32 people.

“So far, it has been established that the drivers are on the run and all their likely hiding places have been searched. When they are found they will be charged with manslaughter, aggression and damage to the national communications,” Tehuacan justice official Herve Ponciano Mukul said.
