The Moorpark Planning Commission has planned three public hearings, with the first scheduled for tonight, on a proposal to nearly double the size of the city.
The commission, which is supposed to make a recommendation on the expansion proposal to the City Council by Jan. 6, will meet at 7 p.m. tonight.
The commission will consider the proposal to expand the city’s boundaries, increasing its area from 12.3 to 18.7 square miles, at special public hearings set for 7 p.m. on Dec. 6 and 20. The commission is scheduled to reach some conclusions about the proposal at its regular meeting on Dec. 23.
