Forrest Nelson, who was paralyzed from the waist down after a dirt bike accident in August, has been offered a job as a soccer coach by a sporting goods company, and a Hawaii firm has offered him free lessons in kayaking.

Nelson, who has been the subject of several news stories, and his girlfriend, Norissa Strauch, had planned to move to Hawaii before the accident and still hope to move there soon. Nelson has returned to Rancho Los Amigos in Downey for more therapy.

Tax-deductible donations for Nelson may be sent to Friends of Forrest Fund, Church of the Golden Eagle, 495 N. Newport Blvd., Newport Beach, Calif. 92663.
