Share

An adobe home built in 1837, a brick church dating from 1911, and four houses built between 1895 and 1929 will be open to visitors Dec. 7 during Pomona Heritage’s seventh annual Old Home Tour.

The Pilgrim Congregational Church, 600 N. Garey Ave. is the first church to be included in the tour. The Gothic-style structure, which was refurbished in 1987, houses one of the largest church organs in the region.

Also on the tour is the first house built in the Pomona Valley, La Casa Primera de Rancho San Jose, which was built in 1837 by Don Ignacio Palomares.
