La Canada Flintridge : 4 Advisory Panels Approved

The City Council agreed Monday to establish four advisory committees to implement the Foothill Boulevard Master Plan.
The plan, intended to turn the city’s main thoroughfare into an inviting, park-like commercial area that would encourage residents to shop in their city, was unanimously approved last month after a year of study.
The committees will be General Plan Advisory, Business Support, Development and Master Plan Steering. They will generate guidelines and standards for development and zoning.
“The committees will help the council to know which direction to go in,” Mayor John W. Hastings said.
