Wrong Audience for Michael

Michael Jackson’s music video “Black or White” should not have premiered on Fox (Nov. 14) following “The Simpsons.” So many young and influential children watch “The Simpsons,” and most likely saw the premiere.
Children look up to Jackson and try to duplicate what he does. When they see him destroying property by breaking windows in a car with a crowbar and throwing a steering wheel through the window of a building, they see this as acceptable because Michael Jackson did it. He is seen as a role model, but if he continues to exhibit himself as a “dangerous” person, the problems that children have to deal with may become much worse.
