Brooks T. Morris; Member of MWD Board of Directors
Brooks T. Morris, 78, a member of Metropolitan Water District’s board of directors and a retired Jet Propulsion Laboratory executive. He was the son of Samuel Morris, a founder of the MWD for whom Morris Dam in San Gabriel Canyon is named, and the father of John Morris, who also sits on the MWD board. In 1972, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration awarded Morris its Exceptional Service Medal for his contributions to the moon missions and various planet explorations while he was head of the quality assurance and reliability office at JPL from 1961 to 1981. In La Canada Flintridge on Nov. 27 of unknown causes.
