DANA POINT : Man Arrested in Credit Card Fraud
A Dana Point man suspected of making a fraudulent credit card order was arrested Thursday morning by police officers posing as furniture store employees delivering a leather couch and chair, police said.
Marc Manly Rideout, 28, was arrested at his apartment on suspicion of grand theft, credit fraud and forgery. Rideout was held at Orange County Jail in Santa Ana in lieu of $10,000 bail, said Tustin Police Sgt. Mark Bergquist.
Tustin police organized an undercover operation after officials at Stor, a furniture retail outlet in Tustin, became suspicious of credit card information the suspect gave over the telephone.
