TOGETHER AGAIN: It’s getting easier for the Vietnamese to be reunited with their families in the U.S. . . . For the first time, federal officials are permitting direct U.S. airline flights here from Ho Chi Minh City. Ten charters carrying a total of nearly 4,000 Vietnamese will arrive in the next six weeks. A spokesman for an international group organizing the flights says most of the immigrants will wind up in L.A. and Orange counties.
