Slain Barber
In response to South-Central Los Angeles barber Charles Mitchell’s murder (Dec. 6): This is one of many blatant tragedies of the way thieves in the streets of Los Angeles have terrorized the average citizen. Residents and merchants have opted to stay home or close businesses before 5 p.m.--when it gets dark--for fear they may be robbed and killed for their money or property, rendering them prisoners in their own homes. It is time we organize to take our streets back from these criminals.
