Gov. Wilson’s Welfare Reforms
I recently had my best laugh of the day when in your editorial you suggested that Wilson’s proposal to reform welfare not be submitted to the voters but rather be solved in the state Legislature. In your words, “Broad ballot initiatives are generally unwise and are to be avoided whenever possible.”
You are asking the same liberal body who got us into this mess in the first place to now rescue us?
All I can say is, thanks to whoever is responsible for keeping the initiative process alive and long may it live!
