VENTURA : Peace Officers’ Yule Show Draws 3,000
A Christmas variety show held by the Peace Officers Assn. of Ventura County drew about 3,000 people to the Ventura County Fairgrounds on Sunday.
The 15th annual matinee and evening shows included performances by a musician, jugglers, a country fiddler and a trained dog act. As part of its fund-raising, the association gave tickets purchased by contributors to groups of underprivileged and disabled children.
“It’s a real family show,” producer Joe Buckler said. “Nothing risque. We’re out to entertain the kids.”
