Abortion Controversy

Rivers fails to address the fundamental issue, i.e., the fetus is alive and it is human. It is one of the stages of human life as are childhood, adulthood and old age with fingers, toes, a beating heart and nervous system--one human body living within and dependent upon another. This may at times become inconvenient for the mother, who, while having the right to control her own personal body does not have the right, as Rivers contends, for convenience sake, to simply do away with the other life.
