Gender Balance in Congress
McElvaine seems to have overlooked the fact that race and religious belief are intellectual qualifications on a par with sex.
We might be able to refine the sexual-racial-religious requirements for a given seat in the House or Senate to such detail that, instead of cumbersome elections, we could simply locate the only person with the exact sexual-racial-religious qualifications and put that person in office. What a wonderful idea!
