Carlsbad Man, 21, Dies in Car Accident
A Carlsbad man was killed when his car veered out of control on California 76 in Oceanside, authorities said.
Michael Sanchez, 21, was eastbound on the highway west of Sagebrush Way about 3:30 a.m. Wednesday when his car turned sideways and veered into the westbound lanes, smashing into another car, said Chuck Bolton, a county medical examiner’s investigator. The driver of the second car was injured, but no other details were available.
Sanchez died at scene, Bolton said. The cause of the collision was under investigation.
