Bush on ‘JFK’: President Bush, asked about Oliver Stone’s controversial movie “JFK” during his tour of Australia, responded: “I have seen no evidence that gives me any reason to believe that the Warren Commission was wrong, none whatsoever.” Bush said he is so sure of the Warren Commission that he never even checked the CIA files on the assassination when he headed the intelligence agency. Stone has been criticized for putting his own slant on the assassination, but Bush said he didn’t think Stone should be censured for it. Reporters also asked Bush about rumors that Elvis Presley is alive someplace, and the President said he doesn’t believe that’s true.
