SINGING BLUES: The recession is hurting the Pacific Chorale, not in loss of audience or donors, but in singers (F1). Chorale music director John Alexander, above, says five singers in recent months have been forced to quit the group after losing their day jobs and moving elsewhere to find work. . . . “I have personally never known so many people that have lost their jobs as in the last few months,” Alexander says.
