NO ART DOLLARS? A new outdoor mural addressing AIDS, painted by Orange County artists Mary-Linn Hughes and Reginald Zachary, will be dedicated in Los Angeles Sunday at the Minority AIDS Project, where it’s displayed on the building (F1). It cost $30,000, including artist fees and materials, paid through city funds. . . . That may be why there are few murals in her home county, Hughes surmises. “There isn’t that kind of money (for murals) in Orange County,” she says.
