Guilty Plea Entered in Double Slaying
A 22-year-old man pleaded guilty Tuesday to two counts of first-degree murder in the beating deaths of a couple in Pacific Beach.
Special-circumstances allegations, which could have led Jason Anderson of San Diego to receive a life term in prison without parole, were dismissed in an agreement with the district attorney’s office.
Anderson faces a maximum sentence of 50 years to life and a $20,000 fine. San Diego Superior Court Judge Allan Preckel scheduled sentencing for Feb. 24.
Anderson was accused of beating Kelly Shaw, 52, to death with a frying pan and killing his roommate, Georgia Gregg, 56.
