BCCI Plea Agreement is Critized: A plea agreement between BCCI and federal regulators was attached for a second day as people owed money by the bank criticized the government’s process for dealing with their claims. U.S. Bankruptcy Judge James Garrity in New York was asked to block the plea agreement with Bank of Credit and Commerce International. At a hearing scheduled for today in Washington, a federal judge is to consider the agreement, under which BCCI would plead guilty to racketeering charges and forfeit $550 million.
