‘Celebrity Etiquette’ and the Mystery Man in the Big Rolls-Royce

After reading and enjoying Rip Rense’s humorous and clever article “Celebrity Etiquette,” one aspect of the article does not ring true.

I have had the honor and pleasure of being associated with Ricardo Montalban as his personal assistant for the past 14 years.

He is an honorable man of high integrity and has been a spokesman for Chrysler Corp. for many years.

So my curiosity has been piqued--who is that dashing impostor flitting around L.A. in a Rolls-Royce?

Rip Rense replies: My memory for faces is better than my memory for cars. It could indeed have been a posh Chrysler that Montalban was driving. Either that, or a Rolls with a very convincing Montalban impersonator at the wheel.
