Former Washington Mayor Marion Barry was transferred from a minimum-security prison after a hearing into allegations that a woman performed oral sex on him in a visiting room, his lawyer said. Attorney Sa’ad El-Amin indicated that prison officials had found Barry guilty in the incident. El-Amin said he had confirmed Barry was moved from the Petersburg, Va., prison after a hearing into the allegations. He said he suspected his client was being transferred to a medium-security facility.
