Ambush in Guatemala

GUATEMALA CITY —
Leftist guerrillas ambushed an army patrol in northwestern Guatemala, killing the officer in charge and wounding two other soldiers, a military spokesman said Tuesday.
The ambush by guerrillas of the Guatemalan National Revolutionary Unit occurred Monday in the province of Quiche, the spokesman said.
