Dana’s Sumitomo Vote Strongly Criticized

Share

Supervisor Deane Dana, in his role as county transportation commissioner, voted to buy rail cars from the Sumitomo Corp. of Japan. This vote hands over American jobs and Los Angeles County tax dollars to a foreign country. The Sumitomo contract was also $5 million more costly than the competing American bid.

How could he do it? Why did he do it?

No amount of campaign support or personal flattery lavished by lobbyists can justify putting America second.

Anyone who wants to see American dollars spent at home should call Deane Dana at his office immediately and tell him to reverse his vote and put America first.
