General Motors confirmed that it is discussing the sale of its half-interest in a $200-million South Korean car-making venture to partner Daewoo Group, which makes the subcompact Pontiac LeMans. . . . Inland Steel Industries Inc. of Chicago will take a fourth-quarter after-tax charge of $165.1 million to restructure its operations, cutting about 3,500 of its 14,200 jobs. . . . Coca-Cola Co. announced an initial investment of $12 million in Coca-Cola Refreshments-Moscow, its second joint venture in the former Soviet Union. . . . Mobil Corp. will start selling a new synthetic motor oil this month, the first upgrade on “Mobil 1” synthetic motor oil since it was introduced in 1976.
