Regarding Manilow
Re “Manilow Gives His Regards to Broadway” (Dec. 28):
What most people, Don Heckman included, fail to understand is Barry Manilow’s extraordinary ability as a musician. Today’s pop/rock megastars are incapable of composing or arranging anything that remotely resembles music, much less rearranging music in someone else’s established style with Manilow’s panache.
