Paramedics for County
On Jan. 3, immediately after the formal opening of the “Paramedic Informational” meeting in the assembly room of Leisure Village, this writer addressed the audience of about 250 people.
Early in my opening statement I stressed the fact that the goal of our Ad Hoc Committee, jointly sponsored by Current Issues Forum and Your Neighbors Care Group, is to seek the placement of certified paramedics not only in Camarillo firefighter stations but ultimately to include, where feasible, all or most county fire stations.
This statement was not evident, pertinent as it was, in the published report on Jan. 4 (Senior Citizens Angry at Paramedic Service).
We in Leisure Village are proud residents of a great county. We do not bury our heads in the sand, thinking only of our own private community.
