Unocal Is in Talks to Sell Truck Stops: The oil company, continuing to streamline its U.S. operations, said it has entered into exclusive negotiations to sell its national network of about 140 truck stops on interstate highways. The prospective buyers are WSGP Partners, a private investment firm in Los Angeles led by Gerald Parsky, and a limited partnership of about 75 Unocal truck-stop operators. “We’ve been focusing more on our core business,” explained Unocal spokesman James H. Bray. “We’re focusing on gas and oil exploration and on marketing in the West.”
