Two-Year Note Yields Fall: Yields on two-year Treasuries fell at auction to the lowest level since the notes were issued on a regular basis starting in 1974. The average yield was 4.99%, down from 5.12% at the Dec. 18 auction. The notes carry a coupon interest rate of 4.875%, with each $10,000 in face value selling for $9,978.40. A total of $13.77 billion in notes was sold out of $42.67 billion in bids.
