Wyoming conducted its first execution in 26 years when it gave a lethal injection to a man who had a couple and their son killed, then ordered the murder of a witness. “You got the wrong man,” 42-year-old Mark Hopkinson declared in a final statement before his execution at Wyoming State Penitentiary in Rawlins. Hours earlier, guards had asked Hopkinson if they could get him anything. “You can get me a blonde and a helicopter,” a Corrections Department spokesman quoted him as saying.
