India Police Unit Bombed

SRINAGAR, India —
Kashmiri militants struck their boldest blow against Indian rule in a 2-year-old insurgency Friday, blowing up the office of the region’s police chief as he held a security conference. The chief and at least seven other security officials were wounded and one police orderly was killed, authorities said.
