OJAI VALLEY : New Water Agency to Hold 1st Meeting
The newly formed Ojai Basin Groundwater Management Agency will discuss objectives during the agency’s inaugural meeting Thursday.
The organization, which is charged with protecting ground-water reserves across the Ojai Valley basin, consists of representatives of the city of Ojai, Casitas Municipal Water District, Ojai Conservation District and Southern California Water Co.
Items at the agency’s first meeting include establishing regular meeting dates and administrative procedures, determining what sort of staff the agency should have and finding a way to fund an annual budget.
The meeting will be held at 3 p.m. at Ojai City Hall.
