Macy’s Gets $60 Million in Bankruptcy Financing: U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge Burton R. Lifland in New York approved the new credit that will permit the retailer to again receive merchandise from its suppliers. The move came in the first hearing on the Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization petition filed by Macy’s. The retailer is expected to receive access to the remainder of its $600-million bankruptcy financing at a hearing set for Feb. 13.
