West Los Angeles : Open House at Fox
The public is invited to the 20th Century Fox commissary on Saturday to get information or offer opinions on the studio’s proposed expansion project and its impact on the surrounding area.
The open house, required by the city of Los Angeles, will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the studio at 10201 W. Pico Blvd., at Motor Avenue.
Fox wants to add 771,000 square feet of motion picture and television studio facilities and 984,000 square feet of office space on its 53-acre site.
Although the expansion will more than double the traffic to the studio, an environmental impact report released by the city concluded that traffic will not be significantly worsened because of street and traffic flow improvements to be paid for by Fox.
In expanding the studio, Fox wants to forgo an earlier plan, approved by the city, to use the land for high-rise condominiums.
